The Janusz Korczak Living Heritage Association started. 41 years ago!

Thanks to my mother and father. After being in Sweden just for one year, they were working actively in their common field - Pedagogy at the Stockholm Teachers' College. At that time, Janusz Korczak and his work were almost unknown in Sweden.

My parents did and forwarded the first translations of Korczak's works to young Swedish researchers (at that time), and so it started. The place was Stockholm, Svenska Dagbladets house at Kungsholmen.

My parents' new friends in Sweden, from the same 1969 emigration, joined them and supported the idea of:

They are gone now, all of them.

Each time I go to my parents' grave, I am also visiting their friends' graves, and I am speaking a few words with them as well.
