„Jutro o tej porze będzie już po wszystkim. Chłodno odliczam czas. Teraz jest 2 po południu. Patrzę na jasne kwietniowe niebo. Dzisiaj wywiozą nas do Treblinki. Gdy wstanie świt, będę już martwa. Rachunek jest prosty – po raz pierwszy widzę czyste niebo pośród chmur.”

Warszawa, 19 kwietnia 1946. Uroczystość na gruzach bunkra Mordechaja Anielewicza w ruinach Getta, czyli w trzecią rocznicę Powstania w Getcie Warszawskim.

Nasz kubuc po połączeniu się z grupą z Lublina w drodze do Niemiec dostał nazwę "La Szyhrur" - Do wyzwolenia... "Wednesday, April 28, 1943. The 10th day in the bunker. The bombings and shooting have stopped. And the people are bathing, handing out coffee and cooking food. Everything is being done quietly, in complete silence, and in accordance with the instructions of the bunker leader. We must survive. We are fighting for justice and for the right to live."

There is the memorial stone at Mila 18 has the names of the leaders of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, 

Mila 18 was a self-contained world-within-a world. A long narrow corridor led into numerous underground rooms on either side. A gang of thieves, led by Schmuel Asher, had previously excavated this gigantic bunker under three large adjoining buildings. Asher led Mordechai Anielewicz, the commander of the Z.O.B., to the bunker.
