Which number should one choose in the description, when indexing the "Swedish documents? DP-1 or DP-2 or the Lübeck number - L-number.

DP-2 Card of Schwarz Jakob that was on June 23, 1945 transported by ambulance train from Bergen-Belsen Hospital to Lübeck. The DP-2 card was issued on the day of arrival to Swedish Transit Hospital where all former inmates were registered and hospitalised until the day of departure. In the left upper corner there is DP-1 number from very first registration in Bergen-Belsen. Another number, L-number in the upper right corner is the number from the Swedish Entry card (Inreseuppgift-kortet) that were also filled in Lübeck. In the lower part in red is the name of the White Boat "Kronprinsessan Ingrid" and the day of departure, here June 26, 1945.

Medical card (Läkarkort) of Schwarz Jakob that on June 28, 1945 arrived by White Boat "Kronprinsessan Ingrid" from Lübeck to Gothenburg. This Medical card was issued on the day of arrival to Vasa Hospital. As this was the very first transport to Sweden of the former inmates from Bergen-Belsen they were registered using almost all available numbers, including DP-1, DP-2, L-, and local hospital registration numbers. At the top of the card, there is DP-1 number from the very first registration in Bergen-Belsen. The L-number, 142 from the Swedish Entry card (Inreseuppgift-kortet) has been incorporated in the registration number 35/L142. Observe that the medical examination was performed on the same day when White Boat "Kronprinsessan Ingrid" arrived in Gothenburg, on June 28, 1945.

L-number on the Swedish Entry card (Inreseuppgift-kortet). This card was used for the Swedish police records and information about the place of stay of the immigrants, see the card below.

L-number: 7734 on the Swedish Entry card (Inreseuppgift-kortet) of Sala Mastbaum. The back of the card was used for the Swedish police records and information about the place of stay of the immigrants, see the back of card on the right. Sala Mastbaum left Sweden just 1 year after arrival. Probably she was in the group of children and youngsters that went to the port of Calais to Paris and thereafter to Lyon and finally as legal immigrants to Eretz Israel.

L-number on the Swedish Entry card (Inreseuppgift-kortet). This Entry card was probably printed some months later than the card above. The L-number is called here Unrra.

From Voxnabruk to Eretz Israel through France.

The Lübeck number just concerns the Holocaust survivors that arrived with UNRRAs White Boats.

The very first Holocaust survivors that arrived with spoke trains to Padborg and on White buses were not registered in the same way as the survivors do not have any DP or Lübeck numbers so it is likely that the best way will be to use L-number and eventually thereafter, at final indexing also DP-number. The problem with DP numbers is the number of digits and also the problem with mistakes.
