Winther 1946. Lövsätra-Täby, Sweden. Today, I have a date with the sweet girl sitting in the corner of the classroom. It's been 75 years since this picture has been taken. Rachela from Piotrków Trybunalski (Ralinka as her older sister use to call her) was pupil in this small class of children that survived the Holocaust and her sister was a teacher there. On the photo Estera sits in the right corner. Rachela´s and Estera´s mother, Janka Fajner, died few days after the liberation of Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in April 1945.
