Movie choice for Holocaust survivors after WWII

After WWII ended several thousands of Holocaust survivors were allowed to Sweden. Many of them were hospitalized. However, the biggest part of survivors were placed in the camps of different characters. The youngest one were in the special schools.

Working at the archives I found a letter from one of such camps where they are asking the Swedish film distributor for sending them the movie Gone with the wind. They are getting an official answer that Gone with the wind is to expensive but they can get the Bambi movie.....

The letter was send to Myckelby Internatskola on March 14th 1946. Most of the peoples from Myckelby school/camp left Sweden in January 1947 on the S/S Ulua boat heading for Eretz Israel.
May be Swedish institute choice helped them to make the final decision (joke).
