Stockholm Today at 04.04 AM on my Desktop - White boats and the Second Generation - Not so cold, only -9,2 C - False Holocaust children, sisters, brothers and cousins

Teresa Pollin from USA reminds me about the friend of her that came to Sweden with White Boats.

Joel Katzberg from Canada is asking about his grandfather.

Nina Dawidowicz from Sweden is asking about her relative and how she came to Sweden. What was her name when leaving Lübeck.

Joel Katzberg grandfather - was found as Icek (Izak) Kacberg. On his DP-2 card; I found Iceks information that his "2 soeurs" - 2 sisters were in Bergen-Belsen. That was new information for Joel from Toronto.

Joel wrote later to me: To be honest. I didn’t sleep last night after your comment about the sisters being in BB. I’d love to learn more about what you find to to ensure its correct (names and birthdays if u know). We all believed they perished long before but my GF never mentioned anything about B-B other than the “horror”. Tracing my grandfathers journey is more important to our immediate family.

Icek - Izak Kacberg had a brother who survived in Russia and ended in Canada after WWII. Apparently. worte Joel, but we don’t know for sure... my grandfather scored a winning goal on some form of a Swedish football/soccer team and the article reached Canada and they reunited. Was Icek Kacberg playing in Swedish Maccabi?

Nina Dawidowicz from Sweden is asking about her relative and how she came to Sweden. What was her name when leaving Lübeck.  Her case was more difficult as the person was registered as accompanying person, a child. It was not a real, blood related child but "Holocaust child" like so many other Holocaust sisters, brothers and cousins. Quickly found false relationships for one reson, not to be separated at the hospitals and during the transport by White boats from Bergen-Belsen to Swedish emergency hospitals. It was Regina Rundbaken that become quickly mother of Paulina. Regina was registered in Lübeck as 7842 and Paulina as 7827 on the same DP-2 Card. They both were transported on White boat S/S Kastelholm that left Lübeck on July 25th, 1945. That was the last transport by Kastelholm in the UNRRA action White boats.

Den snabbt adopterade dottern Paulina J. kom till Stockholm med sin nya mor Regina Rundbaken. De kom ombord den Vita båten Kastelholm. Båtens sista resa med de överlevande från Bergen-Belsen.

Teresa Pollin from USA reminds me about friend of her that came to Sweden with White Boats. It is about Chaim Kozieniecki. I wrote earlier about him. I want however more information about his time in Sweden, about his trip from Trelleborg to Eretz Israel, about his fight with  British paratroopers and escape from the British detention camp close to Haifa. Kozieniecki was also one of the last transported to Sweden in the UNRRA action. He arrived with M/S Rönnskär on July 25th 1945 and left Trelleborg on a Aliyah Beth boat on January 24, 1947. L:9516 was Kozieniecki number of the Entry car to Sweden. One of the last issued with the L-number.
I got his phone number . Thanks Teresa!
