Haifa, Eretz Israel. From S/S Ulua (Haim Arlosoroff) to HMS prison ship Empire Lifeguard  -  Stretchers  - February 28, 1947.  

Not all Holocaust survivors caught by British were sent to the detention camps on Cyprus. Here survivors from S/S Exodus, children and survivors on stretchers, boarding one of three Royal Navy prison ships directed to Europe. The Royal Navy boarded on July 18, 1947, S/S Exodus in international waters and took her to Haifa, where prison ships were waiting to return the survivors to refugee camps in Europe. Some of the refugee camps were actually former German concentration camps.
