On the Day of Atonement - Yom Kippur 5701, that means year 1940, the German authorities in the occupied Warszawa announced using large megaphones that Jewish population of the city has to move to the designed Ghetto area.
Since the orphanage "Dom Sierot" at 92 Krochmalna street lay beyond the boundaries of the ghetto they had to move in.
In 1941, Korczak organized both Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur in the Orphanage.
In 1942 - Korczak was murdered in Treblinka.
