Korczak's Last Walk - relief - probably is about the deportation to Umaschlagplats and death camp Treblinka. I associate "walk" with the walk! This bronze relief is on the front façade of the building at the Madison Avenue entrance of the Park Avenue Synagogue. At the center of the Nathan Rapoport sculpture is Janusz Korczak. Surrounding him are children gripping his arms and legs, each one with a look of terror on his or her face.
The top picture is a reduced replica of the full-size relief place at the entrance to the Park Avenue Synagogue. The reduced replica is one of the artifacts at the Warsaw Ghetto Museum.
