Both above-mentioned euphemisms are/were used to avoid directly addressing subjects that might be deemed negative or embarrassing. "Resettlement to the East" was a Nazi euphemism that was used to refer to the deportation of Jews to extermination camps during the Holocaust.
“From the river to the sea” is an antisemitic euphemism used after 10/7, commonly featured in anti-Israel and anti-Jewish campaigns and chanted at demonstrations. “From the river to the sea is a rallying cry that has been previously used by anti-Israel voices, including supporters of terrorist organizations such as Hamas and the PFLP, which openly seek Israel’s destruction through violent means. Now, it is a call for a Palestinian state extending from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea, a territory that means the dismantling of Israel, the Jewish state. It has been also used as an antisemitic charge denying the Jewish right to self-determination.
“From the river to the sea,” euphemism is not an innocuous word but an expression used to mask profanity and the wish for a new "Final Solution" of the Jews. Usage of this phrase has the effect of making members of the Jewish and pro-Israel community feel unsafe and ostracized.
