Maapilim that married in Sweden before they left Sweden on S/S Ulua - S/S Chaim Arlozorov.

They survived the Holocaust.

They arrived in 1945 on the UNRRA White Boats to Sweden.

They found each other and got married in 1946.

They left Sweden in 1947 on S/S Ulua.

They were in for a few hours in Haifa but were sent to the detention camp in Cyprus.

They came finally to Israel in 1948.

In the first Telegram, Janka and Jakob are applying for permission to be in Stockholm for 5 days in May 1946, to leave their respective camps. At the bottom (enlarged area) there is an explanation for their application:  Wedding preparations. The wedding will take place at the Jewish congregation on May 18, 1946.

The second Telegram is sent to the Swedish camp in Skinnskatteberg, just saying that permission is granted.
