The Swedish Holocaust Memorial Association (SHMA) - (in Swedish - Föreningen Förintelsens Minne -FFM) is committed to keep the memory of the Holocaust alive by disseminating information on the Second World War and the Nazi in occupied Europe.

The Swedish Holocaust Memorial Association (SHMA) is a non-religious and non-political organization open to all. Earlier, among the association's members, there were several survivors of Nazi persecution, ghettos and concentration camps. Professor Halina Neujahr was co-founder of the SHMA. School visits by the members of SHMA, many of the so-called Second generation can be arranged throughout Sweden. The Second generation means the children of the Holocaust survivors.

There are numerous Korczakföreningar in many countries, named after the Polish teacher, writer, and pediatrician Janusz Korczak. 1942 brought him together with 239 children from the orphanage in the Jewish ghetto to förintelselägret in Treblinka. There are in the association's archives and a collection of writings by and about Korczak in different languages. The collection is available to researchers and other interested parties. The association's purpose is to act in the spirit Korczaka for children's rights in society and to disseminate information and insight into Korczaka lives and works. Vår uppgift är att sprida kännedom om Janusz Korczak och hans verk. Föreningen som bildades av fil. lic. Michal Wasserman Wroblewski, tillika Korczaks medarbetare, aktivt verkar nationellt och internationellt för Korczaks humanistiska idéer om fred, frihet och jämlikhet, om barnets rätt till respekt och om människans okränkbara rättigheter oavsett nationalitet, tro eller hudfärg. 

Barnkonventionens idéer som undertecknades för 100 år sedan av Korczak i Genéve ligger oss varmt om tat! På samma sätt så försöker vi sprida och informera om den mörka tiden i Europas historia - Förintelsen. Det gör vi under namnet Föreningen Förintelsens Minne som på1990-talet hade över 4000 medlemmar i Sverige.

Po zamknięciu w Warszawie Komitetu Korczakowskiego w 1968 roku którego ostatnim przewodniczącym byl mój ojciec (po Igorze Newerlym) dzięki staraniom ojca powstało w 1971 (nieoficjalnie w 1969) r. w Szwecji "Stowarzyszenie Korczakowskiego Dziedzictwa" po szwedzku - Föreningen för Janusz Korczaks levande arv. Swoista kontynuacja zamkniętego w Warszawie w 1968 roku Komitetu Korczakowskiego. Mój ojciec, Michał Wasserman-Wróblewski (Pan Misza) pracował w Domu Sierot od czasów studenckich (1931) do ostatniego dnia w getcie - 5 sierpnia 1942.
Myśli Starego Doktora wywarły duży wpływ na szwedzką pedagogikę, etykę i koncepcję wychowawczą. Przemyślenia Korczaka legły u podstaw Konwencji Praw Dziecka uchwalonej przez Organizację Narodów Zjednoczonych. Często nie zdajemy sobie sprawy jak wielki wkład w dzisiejszą kulturę i obyczaje Szwedów wniósł ten wspaniały człowiek. Działalność mojego ojca, Michała Wassermana-Wróblewskiego była skupiona na uchronieniu i przekazaniu dziedzictwa Korczaka. Pisał artykuły, referaty, opracowywał cykl raportów "Pedagogika we Wschodniej Europie". Zmarł w 1993 w Sztokholmie. Stowarzyszenie Korczakowskiego Dziedzictwa w Szwecji nie zaprzestało działalności wraz z odejściem założyciela. Wspomnienia mojego ojca o Starym Doktorze "Siedem Dobrych Lat" opublikowano w Szwecji i po polsku i po szwedzku. Stowarzyszenie jest teraz na Face Book i dalej prowadzi popularyzowanie Korczaka i jego pedagogiki.
