Shmulik Gogol´s great-grandson, cpt. Asaf Master, 22, from Kibbutz Bahan in central Israel was killed yesterday in Gaza. He was a platoon commander in the 401st Brigade’s 601 Battalion (part of the Combat Engineering Corps). Shmulik Gogol, a Holocaust survivor, was one of the pupils at Janusz Korczaks Orphanage. Shmulik was playing harmonica in the Auschwitz orchestra.
