Janusz Korczak formulated numerous children’s rights, including the right of the child to die.
I thought about Korczak and what he wrote and thought about euthanasia. This has only an indirect connection with Korczak's thoughts in his Ghetto Diary where he writes about euthanasia and also about introducing a ward for the dying children in the orphanage on Dzielna Street in 1942.
My mind wandered to the Warsaw Ghetto when I heard the testimony of the father of a little girl who was shot on October 7th, 2023 in a kibbutz by Palestinian terrorists from Hamas. He said he was afraid that his child was kidnapped by those monsters and lived in their captivity, stressed to death sitting in a dark room. It was the last thing he wanted among the horrible options.
If You do not understand the connection above, I am afraid that you do not understand Korczak and do not realize what happened just seven days ago when Jewish children were tortured, shot, decapitated, and kidnapped by Palestinian terrorists from Hamas.
