After the Liberation of Bergen-Belsen Concentration numerous children from the barrack nr. 211 in Kinderheim could after some weeks at the hospital, go for picnics organized by British soldiers. 

Dr. Bob Collis, the chef of the children's ward wrote: The sight of those who recovered rapidly was one of the most exciting and comforting things that it is possible to imagine.
