Michał Wasserman-Wróblewski (Pan. Misza) worked at Korczaks Orphans' Home until August 5th 1942 - Today is my dad's 110th birthday

Michał Wasserman-Wróblewski (Pan. Misza) worked at Korczaks Orphans' Home . To start with as a bursa student (photo) and later as an educator.

Today is my dad's 110th birthday. He was the last chairman, until 1968, of the Korczak Committee (Komitet Korczakowski) in Poland. Later in 1971 (his 60th birthday) he founded the "Korczak Heritage Association" in Swedish - "Föreningen för Janusz Korczaks levande arv", which still exists (unofficially since 1969) in Sweden. Such a continuation of the Korczakowski Committee closed in Warsaw in 1968.

My father, Michał Wasserman-Wróblewski (Mr. Misza) worked at the Orphans' Home from his student days (1931) until his last day in the ghetto - August 5, 1942.

The activity of my father, Michał Wasserman-Wróblewski in Sweden, was focused on preserving and transferring Korczak's heritage. He wrote articles, and papers, and also prepared a series of reports on "Pedagogy in Eastern Europe". He died in Stockholm in 1993.

The Korczak Living Heritage Association - Föreningen för Janusz Korczaks levande arv in Sweden did not cease its activities with the departure of its founder.

The photo of the father is probably from 1963. Place: Monument to the Ghetto Heroes. Basia Abramow-Newerly is on the right and Ela Frydman is on the left.
