Hetty Verolme (Esther) was assigned to the Dutch children's group in Bergen-Belsen "Kinderheim" as a helper. She was later described as a "Little mother".

Our deep condolences to the family and friends of writer Hetty Verolme who passed away in July 2024, aged 94. Hetty Verolme (Esther) born in 1930 was assigned to the Dutch children's group as a helper. She was later described as a Little mother. Two of her younger brothers were also in this group.
Hetty was helping Luba Tryszynska and Hermina Kranzowa who took care of 100 children. Among them many from Piotrków.
