Dear Mr. Wróblewski,As you may recall, the last time we corresponded, you kindly helped me locate information and documents concerning Frommeta Einhorn, my father’s only niece who survived the Holocaust.When my father returned to his home in Łódź at the end of the war, he began searching for surviving members of his family. He eventually learned that, from his large extended family, only his younger brother and another niece, who had been transferred from Bergen-Belsen to Sweden, had survived. Sadly, his niece, Frommeta Einhorn, passed away before contact between them could be reestablished.This week, I happened to come across an online post of yours about Frommeta and the efforts to restore the graves of those who died after being brought to Sweden. Some of the information and documents you published about her were previously unknown to me.I would be most grateful if you could provide me with copies of any articles you have published over the years in which she is mentioned, as well as any documents related to her. Of particular importance to us is a photograph of Frommeta, if one exists in your collection.My father, Frommeta’s uncle, passed away in 2007. At the time, I showed him a photograph of Frommeta’s gravestone in the Jewish cemetery in Stockholm, and he was deeply moved. Unfortunately, we did not have a photograph of her herself.My children and other members of our family are familiar with Frommeta’s story, as well as the stories of the many family members who perished in the Holocaust. It would mean a great deal to us if we could preserve her memory with a photograph as well.Soon, the 81st anniversary of Frommeta’s death will be observed.
