From Bergen-Belsen concentration camp to Cyprus detention camp - History of Holocaust Survivors that were brought to Sweden by UNRRA White Boat Mission at the end of WWII - My Heros-

Yesterday, I got these photographs showing the Holocaust survivors dancing Hora, probably just after they left Sweden in January 1947.
Among the passengers were the future parents of Eli Nussbaum. Both were liberated in Bergen-Belsen and brought to Sweden by UNRRA White Boat mission. Eli´s father, Jacob is the "white face" in the lower right portion of the top picture and marked on the lower picture.
Actually the entire group is a kind of great heros for me.

Below some pictures from the detention camp on Cyprus where almost all Holocaust survivors from S/S Ulua/Haim Arlosoroff were imprisoned.

From Cyprus detention camp document collection about the inmates, primarily Jewish, who were held by the British Army in detention camps during 1945-1948
