Earlier, in 1938, "Refleksje" was published in 1938, as a temporary publication by the Association for Aiding Orphans (Towarzystwo "Pomoc dla Sierot"), an organisation with which Korczak's Orphanage was closely associated. In Refleksje, Korczak appealed for donations for this organisation that supported the orphanage at 92 Krochmalna and the summer camp at Goclawek.
Korczak's Reflections are lighthearted in tone, containing elements of Jewish humor and a telephone number to the Dom Sierot orphanage for those who want to donate.
