Many people from the Jewish emigration of 1969, the post-March one, categorically refused to accept daffodils! Yesterday, at a concert in Tel-Aviv organized by the Polin Museum, no one mentioned Anielewicz, the commandant of the Ghetto Uprising.
Nobody mentioned Antek Cukierman or Cywia Lubetkin, for whom Eretz Israel was a dream as for most fighters and who actively contributed to its creation in 1948.
Only one among the insurgents was mentioned, a member of the Polish KOR organization - Edelman. One of the few Jews that stayed in Poland after 1969. Edelman hated the state of Israel.
Of course, daffodils were distributed everywhere.
